Minnesota ACG Recognizes Ralco with BOLD Award

Ralco is pleased to announce that it received a BOLD Award from the Minnesota Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). The BOLD Awards honor innovative and inspirational organizations that help make Minnesota great. The program also celebrates corporate leaders that are behind successful strategies that lead to sustainable performance and accelerated growth. All nominations were reviewed, ranked and awarded by a peer panel of judges.

Ralco President Brian Knochenmus said courageous decisions Ralco has made on behalf of the trū Shrimp Company, an affiliate of Ralco, like developing one of the most state-of-the-art shrimp research facilities in the world garnered the attention of the judges.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized for the bold moves that we have made for the trū Shrimp company, and it means even more when you are recognized by your peers,” Knochenmus said. “I also think it’s very significant that rural companies like Ralco receive this kind of recognition.”

Corporate leaders and teams representing 15 nominee finalists chosen from an original nominee group of 69 organizations, attended the BOLD Awards Tuesday, February 27 at The Muse in Minneapolis. The event was a vivid high-energy celebration of businesses that grow Minnesota. Each finalist was featured in a video vignette with interviews and testimonials showcasing their efforts and successes.

“This was an impressive event and there were great companies represented there. Most of the companies up for awards had strong Minnesota values,” Knochenmus said. “Receiving a BOLD Award means that people see Ralco as a company of strong values and are beginning to recognize the importance of the rural food industry.”
