Ralco is proud to announce that Alea Gigliotti, Poultry Product Specialist, has been selected for the prestigious International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) 30 Under 30 Young Leaders Program. This recognition highlights Gigliotti’s outstanding contributions to the poultry industry and her commitment to advancing animal health and nutrition.
IPPE, the world's largest annual trade show for technology, equipment, supplies and services related to egg, meat and poultry production and processing, selects 30 young professionals each year who demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to the industry. The program provides these young leaders with educational and networking opportunities to support their continued professional development.
As a Poultry Product Specialist at Ralco, Gigliotti plays a key role in both marketing and technical teams, helping to develop Ralco’s annual marketing plan, overseeing the distribution of the Roost Report, a vital industry update for sales teams and key partners, and working closely with research and development teams to address pressing industry challenges. Her work ensures that Ralco’s innovations, which leverage natural patented and exclusive essential oil, prebiotics and microbial technologies, continue to support poultry producers worldwide.
Applicants to the IPPE 30 Under 30 program were required to submit an essay addressing key challenges facing the poultry industry over the next five years. Gigliotti identified commodity cost volatility and antimicrobial resistance as two major concerns.
“In nutrition and health additive manufacturing, fluctuating commodity prices can
significantly impact input costs for producers,” said Gigliotti. “With geopolitical events affecting trade, climate change influencing feed availability and increasing disease pressure, producers will need to remain vigilant. Industry-wide communication will be crucial in helping small- and mid-size producers navigate these challenges by exploring diet formulations with regionally available commodities and unconventional ingredients.”
Gigliotti also highlighted antimicrobial resistance as a growing challenge, emphasizing the need for innovative, sustainable solutions. "As conventional treatments lose effectiveness, the industry must embrace alternative strategies that prioritize animal health without compromising performance," she said. "At Ralco, we are dedicated to pioneering natural solutions that harness the power of essential oils and prebiotics to support poultry health in a way that is both effective and sustainable.”
Ralco President and CEO Glenn Bader applauded Gigliotti’s achievement, emphasizing the company's dedication to developing industry leaders. “At Ralco, we believe that innovation starts with people. Alea’s commitment to advancing poultry health through science-driven, natural solutions embodies our mission to support producers in growing a safe and abundant food supply. Her expertise and passion make her an invaluable part of our team, and we are excited to see her receive this well-earned recognition.”
