Ralco Expands Feedlot Investments with New Hire Heidi Doering-Resch

Ralco is excited to announce that Heidi Doering-Resch has joined their team as a Ruminant Technology Manager. With 18 years of experience in the feedlot industry, Doering-Resch brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will help Ralco’s beef customers advance their businesses.

As the Ruminant Technology Manager, Doering-Resch will identify how Ralco’s patented feed ingredients can improve the beef industry on a large scale, regarding not just production cost and implication, but environmental and consumer satisfaction. As Doering-Resch put it, “My goal is to help reduce the cost of production for feedlot customers while staying ahead of efficient beef production.”

“I don’t see many companies willing to tackle so many facets of the beef industry while staying connected to the end user,” said Doering-Resch. “Ralco focuses on providing innovative feed ingredients that prioritize protein production and reduce their carbon footprint while keeping the end users' needs a priority.”

Since 1971, Ralco has focused on connecting producers’ challenges and end consumers' needs with efficient beef production. With over 17 patents in natural approaches like essential oils, prebiotics and microbial processes, Ralco’s portfolio of health and nutrition products is designed to optimize animal performance, reduce health challenges and minimize antibiotic use.

“With Heidi Doering-Resch on board, we look forward to pushing boundaries even further in the feedlot space when it comes to helping producers raise healthy, efficient beef,” said Diane Wagner, Vice President of Innovation. “With Heidi’s extensive knowledge and background, we’re confident she’ll equip our feedlot customers with the tools they need to succeed.”

Doering-Resch grew up in Good Thunder, Minnesota on a diversified livestock and crop operation where early on she discovered her passion for ruminants. Today, Doering-Resch and her family can often be found in an arena showing stock animals or riding horses. Doering-Resch said her family motto is, “I wasn’t born in a barn, but I got there as quickly as I could.”

Doering-Resch is also heavily involved in several professional organizations including the American Society of Animal Science, American Quarter Horse Association, American National Cattlewomen Inc. and Minnesota Cattlewomen.
