Bob Galbraith mortgaged his furniture and used his garage as a warehouse when he started Ralco in the spring of 1971. The family has continued a tradition of developing innovative technologies and reinvesting in new discoveries.

Ralco was founded on a product called Suppli-Mix® that promoted rumen function which releases more energy from feed cattle consume. This technology has been refined and patented as Microbial Catalyst® technology and can be found in products around the world.
In the 1990s we continued to innovate by introducing a baby pig milk replacer when few believed in the concept. Birthright® milk established the category and remains the gold standard through the global swine industry.
In 2003 our essential oil technology came to life in Regano®. We lead the industry in essential oils that naturally promote healthy animals and plants.
In 2004 our expanding technical knowledge and expertise led to EnMax®, the most advanced swine nutrition technology. EnMax® helps release energy from feed and allows hogs to perform while using less energy, water and producing lest waste.
In 2009 Ralco entered the agronomy market with the introduction of Generate®, a breakthrough product that stimulates microbial activity for improved soil and plant health.
In 2014 Ralco acquired the global patents for an innovative approach to land-based shrimp production, paving the way for a new standard in healthy, safe and efficient shrimp.
